ABOUT

Maja is a photographer with 26 years of photographic working experience ranging from reportage to travel, lifestyle, portraiture and studio photography. 

 

As a staff photographer for Victoria and Albert Museum (UK) she worked on promotional material for the museum, covered numerous conferences, workshops, and openings of exhibitions, and created set-ups for studio and outdoor portraiture. 

In her freelance work, Maja produced numerous reportage projects on women's and humanitarian issues for publications such as Marie Claire (UK) and Il Venerdi della Repubblica (Italy); lifestyle for La Donna della Repubblica (Italy); and architecture for the Architectural Review (UK). She also worked for the Oxfam NGO in Africa. 

 

Travel pieces were published in Geo (UK), Touring Italia (Italy), Gulliver (Italy) and Silk Wings, the inflight magazine for Singapore Airlines. She further told of her personal experiences homeschooling her children while travelling long-term via Today's Parents (Singapore). 

 

She is the co-author of creative workshops for integration of young people with difficulties with Croatian Social Workers Union. 

Her working career in media started at RAI Italian television as a field producer and later at the Financial Times (UK) newspaper, covering portraiture of prominent figures, and on daily assignments for Večernji list (Croatia). 

 

Maja studied photography at the London College of Communication.
